Well it seems that NYC is not a fan of cake. I was looking forward to seeing your pics and salivating over them, but there is always next time!

Stay tuned Hunter’s. We have some good ones coming up. Oh and this may be called “NYC” Scavenger Hunt, but all are welcome. So get your friends involved, and snap away.

Hello! My name is Erika and I will be your friendly hunting host today. I had a dream last night (I'll spare you the details) but in it was this beautiful delicious cake. It had 5 tiers and mega embellishments and was totally fairy tale like.

After my dream came to an end, I woke up with a very odd cake craving, and so that is what I'd like for you to find me today. CAKE! I am equal opportunity cake eater so snap away. My favorite is chocolate so extra points if you find one with creamy fudge icing.

Hey Everybody,

Hope everyone enjoyed last night's Super Bowl, another incredible game.

Today's item gets it's inspiration from one of the more popular activities on Twitter today: Music Monday. Every Monday on Twitter people announce what kind of music they have been into, or listening to at the moment, via a tweet. Within that tweet they usually include the hash tag "#MusicMonday."

In honor of Music Monday today's Item in the scavenger hunt is a concert venue. New York City is famous for it's terrific venues, whether it's the world famous Madison Square Garden or the smaller Beacon Theatre.

I'll get this started by sharing a photo of the Gramercy Theatre, which is located right by my office on 23rd and Lexington Avenue.

Ok y'all. It's Superbowl Sunday, one of my favorite holidays, or at least it should be a holiday, and I'm in the spirit. I need y'all to feel it too, like my man Chester here with his owner. Go out and snap a pic of someone's dog wearing, or if that's too hard, someone's baby, wearing Saints or Colts gear. Grab a brew, some chicken wings, and enjoy the game, or the commercials for y'all that don't like football. Let's see what y'all got. Good luck!

Welcome to the 2010 New York City Scavenger Hunt!

My name is Chris and along with my friends David, Erika, Ann, Juanita and Chauncey we will be updating this blog and running the scavenger hunt.

The premise is simple. Every day we will announce what the item is (based on your suggestions - but more on that in a bit) and submit photos of ourselves and YOU with said item.

About the items

These items can be anything. A person, place or thing. Think outside the box when it comes to photographing yourself with them (for instance if it's a specific individual, it doesn't literally need to be you standing next to them in person).

Rules

Once an item is announced, you have 24 hours to photograph yourself with said item. You don't have to submit your full name, but some name, where you are from in NYC and the location of where the photo was taken is necessary.

What we need right now

The first step is going to be compiling our item list. From now until Feb. 7 we need YOUR help. Please submit your items here, our Facebook page and our Twitter page.
